Native Instruments just announced an update to Traktor Pro 2. Now at 2.10.3, the new version addresses and fixes nearly all known crash issues in both Windows and Mac computers, something that’s been talked about a lot by our Traktor-using readers for quite a while now. Also included in the update is an important fix to the problem of Stems occasionally misaligning, along with Traktor Scratch certification for the Rane MP2014 rotary mixer.
If you’ve been having issues with Traktor Pro 2, this could be the update you’re waiting for. I, for one, have experienced misaligned Stems (it sounds like one of the four stem tracks moving forwards or backwards a few beats out of sync) and it could ruin a perfectly good mix.
Jun 14, 2019 The Traktor Pro 3 software is also very good and included. You don't get the power supply with this but it does connect and gets powered through a USB alternatively all a power supply does is seem to brighten the lights on the controller. One person found this helpful.
• The Traktor Pro 2.10.3 update is available now in the NI Service Center app. Check the Native Instruments website for more details.

So, in Get Started With The Traktor Kontrol S8, Pt 1, we looked at the very basics of how the new flagship controller from Native Instruments works with your music files even without jogwheels, and explained how really, it’s not such a leap even for those who are used to vinyl or CDJs to using touchstrips and buttons.
In the second part of this five-part “mini-series”, we’re focusing on how the Kontrol S8 works with external inputs. We’ll look at how it functions at the heart of a bigger DJ system, the kind of system that may or may not also have a DVS or timecode element, pure audio inputs, a microphone or two, and a backup device such as an MP3 player.
By demonstrating the difference between feeding analogue inputs through Traktor (“live inputs”) or through the S8’s built-in mixer alone (“direct thru”), we’ll also show you how DJs can switch laptops mid-set without interrupting the flow of the music at all.
This series is aimed at those who are totally new to digital DJing or Traktor, or who have used simpler controllers before and want to better understand the philosophy behind this unit. With some of the other tutorials out there being really very “deep”; we wanted to pull things back to practical basics to help you decide if this is the right direction for you and your DJing. Hope you enjoy the video!

Do you like the way the Kontrol S8 is designed to “sit at the heart” of a digital / analogue hybrid system like this? Are you excited by anything in particular you’ve seen here? Got any questions you’d like to ask? What is little snitch daemon. Please feel free to do so in the comments below.
